Final Fantasy X|X-2 HD Remaster is out today in North America - with Europe to follow later in the week - on both PlayStation 3 and PS Vita. Originally released for the PlayStation 2, Final Fantasy X was the first entry in the series to feature voice acting and full 3D cinematic visuals.
This newly remastered version for the HD age incorporates a variety of redrawn artwork, textures and even music along with new voice overs in the included 30-minute voice drama following the game's end credits. For the first time, North American fans will also be able to experience a load of new content previously exclusive to the International version of the game. Players will be able to watch the Eternal Calm, a short film following Yuna after the events of Final Fantasy X. Additionally, Last Mission, the storyline-based mission following Yuna, Rikku and Paine in their exploration of the Iutycyr Tower ruins can be accessed straight from the main menu.
