Director for Left Alive teases upcoming news and Square Enix developers talk about their plans for 2018
At Tokyo Game Show this year, Square Enix revealed a new trailer for their upcoming survival action shooter: Left Alive. And while very little has been revealed about the post-apocalyptic themed game, Director Toshifumi Nabeshima (Director of the Armored Core series) teases that we may not have to wait much longer for news. Nabeshima told 4Gamer that he was happy to see that the reaction to Left Alive's announcement was beyond his expectations, even though he now feels a lot of pressure because of it. He also thinks we can expect more information about the game at "a timing that is not too far." In the same interview with 4Gamer, several well-known Square Enix developers briefly discussed their plans for 2018. Takeshi Uchikawa, Director of Dragon Quest XI, hopes to "encourage all staff to create games" so that "surprising information" can be shared in 2018. Hokuto Okamoto, Producer of the PS4 version Dragon Quest XI, would like to start working on a new game. And Executive Producer Yosuke Saito feels the same, and hopes to have the chance to announce a new game next year, but "pulled a Yoko Taro-like line" and encourages fans not to expect too much. Shinji Hashimoto, the Brand Manager
