The wait is finally over. After nearly three years in the making, Final Fantasy XIV in its intended glory is here. Service is now open to everyone – including non-pre-order costumers – as the team works hard to smooth out remaining server issues.

Those who’ve played it will tell you regardless, the game is fantastic and should be played by anyone – Final Fantasy or JRPG fan alike. Quite honestly it’s been a long time since a world as cohesive and well-balanced in both gameplay and story has come along, but Naoki Yoshida and his team at Square Enix pulled off a bit of that old Squaresoft-style magic. Do yourself a favor and pick it up if you can. Our full review will be live once we’ve given the game further go-around.
