Square Enix has released a bit of a preview for fans looking forward to listening to the tunes of Eorzea when Before Meteor launches next week on August 14th.

The release will be available on blu-ray disc for ¥5250 (approximately $50). The disc will come housed with the entire soundtrack from the original 1.x version of FFXIV – including all of its patches – with music from Nobuo Uematsu, Masayoshi Soken, Tsuyoshi Sekito, Naoshi Mizuta, and Ryo Yamazaki. Additionally, the End of an Era trailer will also be available in full HD at 5.1 surround sound.

As a bonus, those that purchase this item will unlock a Dalamud minion for their character in FFXIV: A Realm Reborn. The first pressing is still available to pre-order through CDJapan and Square Enix’s own online shop. Note that this “western release” is simply an imported version – it’s the same exact product that will release in Japan.
