Tokyo Game Show official site lists Final Fantasy XV and Kingdom Hearts III By Erren Van Duine on August 30, 2013 at 9:32 AM

As we ’round the corner to September, ever closer do we inch to Tokyo Game Show – Japan’s premiere event for all things video games and game culture. The official website for the show was updated today with a preliminary listing of titles that are expected to be at the event – including several possibilities for Square Enix.

While not an official lineup, mind you, the list suggests that Final Fantasy XV and Kingdom Hearts III will be present in some capacity. What that is could be anyone’s guess, if at all really. Remember how many times Versus XIII came to the show practically empty handed? Either way, it’s worth waiting for the official word from Square Enix on this one. Going by previous years, that shouldn’t be too long from now.

Square Enix will also be bringing along Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn, Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII, and Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remaster. Other games include Thief, Wolfenstein, Call of Duty: Ghosts, Drag-On Dragoon 3 (Drakengard 3), Kingdom Hearts χ[chi] and Dragon Quest X Online.

You can view the entire PDF listing along with other companies.

Great! Nice way to enter the autumn season – with another healthy serving of XV footage. :)

    YEEEEEES!

  • Anime10121

2 of my most anticipated titles of the last decade!
There’s a reason why Square is my favorite dev :D

  • BetterThanYou

    I hope this is legit

  • Erren Van Duine

    We’ll find out soon enough.

    Don’t let us down SE

  • Panos Dek

I hope they would actually tell us when XV probably gets released. Not the exact date of course. At least the year! 2014, 2015? Plus we all need to see more gameplay footage!
I congratulate SE though… From the absolute silence the last few years they are showing and revealing A LOT! Hope they continue walking this path…

    2.5 weeks :D

Square Enix’s 1st PD PR corrected a typo on this list (an “iOS version” X|X-2 HD Remaster was inadvertently marked), so the list should be official, as far as we know.

    XV YES
I WANT TO SEE COR AGAIN
    COR IS CUTE
PLEASE LET ME SEE HIM AGAIN

While these two games are shown, I’m gonna be shouting: Arf Arf! Arf Arf!!
Jokes aside, with these two games, Square might just win TGS. Namco could put up a fight with Next gen Naruto and Tales though.
Quite frankly, I’m gonna be fanboying throughout this years TGS.

  • EX+

Same here, along with MGS5. Next gen is looking good for the Japanese side of the industry. I am so ready! My JRPG fanboy mode is charging.

  • Death Penalty

Not really all that surprising considering Nomura pretty much outright said TGS would be the next place we’d see XV, on multiple occasions. Still nice that the TGS staff seem to think the same, though.

  • NikkiCola

Well, I had my money bet on a release date for X-X2 announcment at Gamescon. I was oh so wrong, so maybe this time around we’ll get one?
I hope for some XV/KHIII news, it would be a nice changeup since all we’ve really gotten recently is LR and XIV. (Of course with a few bits of X-X2)

  • Sapientia

They didn’t at E3, why would they now? :)

  • Anime10121

Oh I’m just as hyped for Metaru Gea Soridu Fivu :D

Square says “PLEASE BE EXCITED!”- i am
Kojima says “Do you rike it”- Yes Kojima, I LOVE it :P

    RELEASE DATE! PLEEAAAAASE!

  • Redichi24

Final Fantasy XV & Kingdom Hearts 3 are actually listed as undecided. If you know Japanese, you’ll realize that this (未定) means undecided or pending. Square enix has yet to announce their full TGS line up.

  • Guest

「未定」is listed only for release date (発売日), online capabilities (オンライン対応), and pricing (価格). As far as the line-up goes, it pretty much looks finalised. You can see that the X|X-2 HD Remaster entry also has the same TBA.

Although, now that I think about it, it is entirely possible Square Enix plans to showcase games not formally announced on that list, such as the rumoured KH 2.5 HD Remix.

You have a point. I don’t want to write anything because I’m quite dizzy. I re-checked it and your right. Thanks for replying to me:)

You’re always welcome, and do feel better soon! I was afraid I’d missed something, but thank goodness we’ve gotten on the same page. :-)

  • Wassim Mokhtar

I gotta know, when does TGS start???

  • GhostReverie

    September 19th.
