Asia is no stranger to special edition controllers – after all, they got a FFXIII themed one a few years ago when the game launched there. Now, it seems the region will be getting another Final Fantasy themed piece of hardware – this time for Lightning Returns.

Announced at today’s Sony Computer Entertainment Japan Asia conference for Asian regions, this official controller will be sold separately or bundled with the game when is launches this November in those regions. The Asian version of Lightning Returns on PS3 will be published by Sony Asia and will contain Traditional Chinese text. Unlike previous releases, however, it will not contain an English option.
