Final Fantasy XIV PS4 beta coming in February, PS3 version owners upgrade for free By Erren Van Duine on September 9, 2013 at 3:13 AM

Final Fantasy XIV’s PS4 version will be entering beta come February 22, 2014 when Sony’s next generation console launches in Japan.

Announced today at Sony’s Japanese press conference, SCEJA president Kawano revealed that fans looking to get their hands on the beta for the next generation version of the game will be able to do so come the launch date of PS4 in Japan. Furthermore, it was revealed that those who own the PS3 version will be able to obtain the PS4 version absolutely free of charge.

Additionally, Square Enix has confirmed that fans in both North America and Europe will be able to take advantage of this offer as well and promises to share more information in the future.
