With around two months to go until Lightning Returns releases in Japan, Square Enix has brought an all-new demo to Tokyo Game Show in what will likely be the last major showing before its domestic launch.

Unlike the E3 demo, this new look at the game takes place in the Wildlands – the vast expanse of land that used to be the greens of Gran Pulse – an area now run over with various hazards and beasts. In the demo, players must navigate Lightning through this region, fighting monsters along the way before she finally ends up at Canopus Farms where she will be tasked with uncovering the mystery of the white chocobo known as the Angel of Valhalla.
