Let Sony's new Third Party Production team know you want Final Fantasy Type-0 localized

Let’s face it. Square Enix isn’t going to localize Final Fantasy Type-0 any time soon.

No, despite the months and months of fan pleas they’ve essentially fallen on deaf ears – the reality is, Square Enix just doesn’t want to take the risk anymore.

But fear not – a new avenue of hope as just opened up courtesy of Sony Computer Entertainment America. You see, they’ve just formed this new division dedicated to making the third party games you want happen – including localizations of games trapped overseas. The team itself will work closely with third party publishing partners to bring titles to PS Vita, PS3 and PS4 – and hopefully that means they can work a little magic on Final Fantasy Type-0.

Square Enix is no stranger to letting other companies publish their own games. In the past SCEA themselves published several of their titles and in more recent times Nintendo has taken over on the Dragon Quest series. If Type-0 is to come over now, it would likely have to be a first party effort similar to those.

Going about contacting Sony has been made exceedingly simple. The head of this new team – Gio Corsi – has made it known that he’ll be taking project requests via his Twitter account, @giocorsi. He’s already busy putting together a massive list to tackle, making this the last week to get any final requests in. Now, it’s your job to let him know we want Final Fantasy Type-0.

Adam Boyes, director of Third Party Relations at SCEA, has already recognized fan demand for the title along with other JRPGs. That said, even though the acknowledgment is already there, it definitely won’t hurt to continue to overwhelm them with requests. If Square Enix won’t push to make this happen, then we will.
