No new Final Fantasy XV information at Tokyo Game Show this year

Another TGS, another year without Final Fantasy Versus XIII – or rather, FFXV now.

Yes it’s true and the signs were on the wall the moment Square Enix put up their official website for the show. Final Fantasy XV will not have any new information shared quite yet – and the word on that comes straight from Tetsuya Nomura.

No, instead the Director himself will be appearing on Sony Computer Entertainment’s Conversations With Creators interview series – as announced today. From there, Nomura will likely talk at length about the game and ultimately fans can “look forward” to the interview itself.

“Since E3, I had the privilege of talking about Final Fantasy XV for the first time in a while,” said Nomura. “There won’t be new information at the Tokyo Game Show. I’m sorry, but you can experience a glimpse of Final Fantasy XV in this video. There are various things I cannot yet say, but please look forward to it.”

Announced over seven years ago in 2006, Final Fantasy Versus XIII saw its transformation into Final Fantasy XV this past E3 – and with a promise that new information would be shared regularly. Unfortunately that seems not the case for now and unless Nomura’s new interview – which has yet to be dated = contains anything new, then it seems fans will be kept waiting a bit longer.
