A few days ago some concept art popped up on the net, apparently taken from a community event in Japan, which displays a number of unused logo ideas for the upcoming Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII. As many of you know, the development team for Lightning Returns chose to stray from the traditional Yoshitaka Amano-drawn logo art for something a little sharp and quite metallic. As different as it may be from other titles in the series, the final design for Lightning Returns’ logo is is just as different from some of the others that were in the running.

Lightning Returns releases in Japan on November 21st, 2013. North America and Europe will be getting it February 11th and 14th of 2014, respectively. A number of pre-order bonuses are available depending on your country and retailer, and no matter where you pre-order the game from you get the Cloud set. This contains the Soldier 1st Class garb, a Buster Sword weapon, a Bangle to be used in place of a shield, and the Final Fantasy VII victory theme.
