The latest update to Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn is out today, bringing with it a few adjustments and additions to the game’s PvP (Player vs. Player) battles and materia systems. Dubbed Patch 2.25, PvP players can now look forward to ranking up to Rank 40 as well as new job-specific animal-themed gear is available as well.

Additionally, players can now take advantage of a new materia transmutation system to convert several materia into a new random one, as well as the ability to dye Darklight gear and a few fixes to known issues from current content. Those looking to run the Binding Coil of Bahamut Turns 1-5 will also be happy to know the automatic Echo Buff has been increased this week to 15%, impacting maximum HP, damage dealt and healing potency.
