Final Fantasy Type-0 fan translation team forced to pull completed patch

Over a month after its release, Final Fantasy Type-0’s fan translation patch is no more. The folks over at Sky’s RomHacking Nest have been forced to pull not only the patch itself, but any pages and posts relating to the project that ever existed.

According to Sky, the mastermind behind the release, he received threats and false accusations from a “certain game company” and refuses to detail the situation in full until a later date. This news comes mere weeks after an official localization was announced at E3, three years after the game was released in Japan. Many fans had given up hope after various fan campaigns and Sky’s team had stepped up to fill their wishes. Square Enix will be releasing the game as an HD remaster for both PS4 and Xbox One with – as of right now – an undetermined release time-frame.
