Square Enix has updated Final Fantasy Type-0 HD's camera

The camera set up in Final Fantasy Type-0 HD has been at the top of the complaint list for some time with many early previews knocking it for its close positioning and unresponsiveness. To address this issue, director Hajime Tabata promised a fix – the likes of which have finally been implemented and put on display last week at Jump Festa.

There, he demonstrated a brief video comparing the old version of the camera alongside the new – which was been updated to resolve issue with environment geometry and targeting which will allow for both characters and enemies to be more easily seen on screen. Characters can now move around a lot quicker on the field, which should benefit characters like Ace – who can quick teleport – and summons whose massive hulk was a bit of an issue with the old camera design.
