Following today’s Heavensward reveal, Square Enix has made public for the first time an extended version of A Realm Reborn’s lengthy opening video and titled it “Flames of Truth” as it recounts the events that take place after the Warrior of Light is transported to the current timeline in Eorzea.

Part of this cinematic was originally shown when the player completed the Final Coil of Bahamut Turn 3 (Turn 12) as they uncovered the truth and ultimate fate of a certain character from Final Fantasy XIV 1.0. As such there’s a fair amount of spoilers, so if you’re still interested in the story behind the game’s current end-game raid you might want to refrain from watching it.
