Square Enix announces a new studio, creating a new IP By Ehren Rivers on June 16, 2015 at 3:34 PM

Square Enix CEO announced the creation of a brand new studio within the gaming company called “Tokyo RPG Fcatory”, which is apparently fully dedicated to the creation of Japanese-style roleplaying games. Their first game, now in development, is called Project SETSUNA, but no real information is available on it just yet. The artwork shown off is fairly varied and we will have gallery of it up ASAP. It was a little difficult to understand Matsuda, but it sounded like the game is hoping for a 2016 release. More on this title as it develops.

New studio at Square creating only rpg? That is Awesome news!

Square Enix is the master of Japanese Rpgs(For me they are the master of all rpgs) so this game will be amazing too.

Those concept arts are Mega Awesome! Very colorful.

doubt it, no work has been done yet and it will release next year so don’t expect much, unless you can be satisfied with game likes Bravely Default and Chibi art games in general

How do you actually know that ‘no work has been done yet’? Because they show not much information or have no concrete release date? Both or not die hard evidence that ‘no work has been done yet’, that is just your assumption.

they said it themselves during the conference… and it was the reason why they could only show artwork at this time, but that the game should still release next year so, don’t expect a full-fledge AAA title.
