The latest issue of Jump magazine has a new look at Final Fantasy XV this week, focusing on magic use and new battle images.

The scan – seen on the right (click image to enlarge) – has a few bits and pieces of new information on the game, which is expected to be shared in new detail toward the end of the month. You can clearly see Noctis battle against a giant magitek armor.

Along with that we’ve the first real look at magic since 2014. If you use Fire magic in a grassy plains for example, the area will be set aflame and the consequences of this will hurt both your party and enemies in the area.

The magazine also details Noctis and his ability to mount monsters instantly to reduce their physical strengths. He can also attack monsters by jumping through the sky. Another screenshot shows Noctis using stealth techniques in what appears to Niflheim territory to avoid discovery.

Additionally Final Fantasy XV will be featured in next week’s issue of Famitsu magazine, so we’re likely to find out even more information – and from the next Active Time Report – soon. The game itself is still penned in for a 2016 release.
