More Final Fantasy XV Ultimate Collector's Editions could become available

Miss out on snagging one of those hefty Ultimate Collector’s Editions of Final Fantasy XV? Don’t worry, you’re not the only one. The craze over the now sold-out CE has been a topic of much controversy lately – with many orders popping up on resale sites like eBay at the expense of fans who actually want the thing.

Earlier today, director Hajime Tabata took to Twitter to address fan concerns over the matter and offer a slight hope for those on the waiting lists. “The pre-orders for the Ultimate Collector’s Edition disappeared quickly, and we have been hearing plenty from those who weren’t able to get one,” he said. “We’re very sorry about that and at the moment we’re looking to our internal coordination to see if there is anyway to increase production [on the Ultimate Collector’s Edition].”

Square Enix will be sure to let fans know should there be any updates on that front. Additionally, it sounds like they’ll be taking a hard look at people trying resell the game for profit.

FFXV Ultimate Collector's Edition

Priced at $269.99 and available exclusively from Square Enix’s online store, the Final Fantasy XV Ultimate Collector’s Edition comes with the game, soundtrack, an artbook, both the anime Brotherhood and CGI film Kingsglaive on disc and a Play Arts Kai figure of main character Noctis.

The game will be available as a $89.99 Deluxe and $59.99 Day One Edition both housed with bonus downloadables and more when Final Fantasy XV finally launches on September 30th worldwide.
