Kingdom Hearts Unchained χ heads to North America this week By Erren Van Duine on April 4, 2016 at 3:35 PM

Following its release in Japan last year, Kingdom Hearts Unchained χ is finally making its way to North America on April 7th for both iOS and Android.

This mobile title follows the earliest part of the Kingdom Hearts series narrative – taking place in the world of fairy tales talked about throughout the series, during the era before the Keyblade War. As the player, you are just one of many keyblade wielders in the world.

Series director Tetsuya Nomura shared a message with fans as well as a new illustration commemorating the North American launch:

“I hope fans and newcomers alike will find themselves absorbed in this brand new adventure that reveals the origins of Kingdom Hearts.”
