  • About damn time…

  • Jesus Christ

Ingis looks so handsome much more than skeletal Noctis Soggy pants www he’s nasty

  • Vallen

That thumbnail looks like something from psycho pass lol

  • Frederick Badguy

Ignis is my preferred char but it’s seems Noctis is not so friendly with him like Prompto or Gladio. It is a pity…

  • stevenm281

Poor Ignis, Noctis is so laid back, being his butler suck.

  • Is this the last one?

  • Lord Shiru

    Nice episode !!

  • noctcaelum

    Nope, 2 more

  • Great. Thanks.

  • Still feel insensitive to have a British sounding butler in this day and age.

  • Noneofyourbusiness

The videos with “multi-language subtitles” actually don’t have any subtitles. It’s the ones that don’t have “subtitles” in the video title that do.

  • stevenm281

There are subtitles, you must activate them in the settings.

  • stevenm281

actually 1 more for free, the 6th episode is exclusive to the disc version.

  • dbclick

Do we know for sure if the disc version to be release on Oct 4 comes with the Luna episode or if it’s just included with the Ultimate Collector’s Edition?

  • stevenm281

any disc of Brotherhood has the 6th episode focused on Luna, you don’t need the UCE to get it.

Sony is selling a bundle of Kingsglaive+Brotherhood.

    I pre-ordered mine on Amazon.

  • dbclick

Sounds great. Source please? The Amazon page doesn’t have any details that would suggest that it includes episode 6.

  • stevenm281

its not detailed on the product page, you just gotta take Tabata’s word for it, go through the archives of this site and you’ll find it.

  • What if Noctis’s sword opened up like the Dominator and fired energy blasts?

  • SuicideSancti

England takes great pride in the butler profession. Believe me when I tell you there is nothing to be ashamed of.

  • SuicideSancti

I think its just their relationship. Ignis is not one to show too much emotion either… I’d even say Ignis is Noctis most intimate friend, he sews his shirts for gods sake.

  • SuicideSancti

I wouldn’t say poor Ignis… I do wish they’d show more upbeat moments, or just… I dunno, more!

  • Daniel Masterson

not at all. Butlers get paid and if you are good you get paid a lot. It would be different if they were still servants and in the context of the game it still works

  • Daniel Masterson

judge not lest ye be judged Jesus!

  • stevenm281

Ignis is more an employee of the king for the service of his son, but Noctis’ most intimate friend would be Prompto, while Gladio is his bodyguard.

  • Justice V

Don’t think he’s really a butler per se. More like an advisor who feels like he basically has to do everything for Noctis because he can’t do much on his own. At least in Japanese he doesn’t sound british heh. My only issue with the British accent on the Western Version is that it sometimes sounds like his accent disappears.

  • Justice V

Wasn’t expecting it to be nearly 20 minutes long. But pretty great episode, loved the focus on Regis and the war as well as Noctis’ issues, and Ignis’ trials and tribulations heh. Was hoping to see Iris pop up at the hotel though haha.

  • Is Noctis suppose to be like everyone’s little brother and they have to take care of him? When I see him and hear him talk sure he can be hotheaded at times but he seems wise to me. I don’t like it when the lead is only good at fighting or not even that and they make it seem like he’s just the “chosen one” so they have to take him down a notch by making him not very good and much else.

  • SuicideSancti

I think that’s trying to put them into very specific roles. Noctis is royalty, sure, but that doesn’t mean he can’t bond with people like a normal person… They’re all his closest friends independently of who they are. That’s the whole point of this bro trip, I just hope the game success to convey this well enough.

  • Justice V

He seems fine at most things, just not home ec heh. Used to suck at fighting, but obviously after years with Gladio gotten better. Seems smart and somewhat studious, don’t even think his hot headedness was unjustified in the trailers nor this episode. Seems to always boil down to loving his dad, and the weight of royalty, which is pretty understandable.

  • Yeah ditto. I like the character. But I don’t want to go thru the whole game only liking him. Every FF I play I usually like to have at least 5 characters I like. Hell any RPG I like to have at least that many.

  • Justice V

Yeah that’s what made XIII fail for me. I only really liked Snow and Fang a little. It was really hard to like Lightning in English so freaking monotone with no emotion ever. Likewise in English Vanille was horrible heh. Same with XII I guess, I didn’t like any of the characters in there, none of them stood out as cool, memorable, or even fun to play as.

  • yeah 12 suffered from trying to be so grown up it was almost devoid of comedy and martial arts fights and the characters were just place holders who would slaves to the license board rather than have any individuality as combatants. I did like Vaan and Larsa though.

In 13 I liked Hope and Lightning but mostly when Lightning started treated him like a friend or brother. Lightning was great to watch in a fight but not much for dramatic banter or cool one liners. Not like past FF leads. And Hope gets written off as a whiney bitch even though ANYONE would be sad about their mother dying.

So yeah, both games had crappy casts. I mainly just like FF6, 7, 10, and Crisis Core. Other games have had good points and been fun, but the cast or battle system or both usually killed it for me.

  • Justice V

Well luckily 7, 10 and crisis core all had the same writer as xv. Think he worked on 6 too in some capacity.

I did like Hope, as a character. Hated his character design (though really almost all the characters in xiii had bad designs). But I liked grown up Hope in XIII-2 even more and thought it was interesting that he fell in love with lightning heh.

I relate to you Ignis bro,
Them feels. I am both of them at times: Noctis and Ignis.
Personality wise, these four are already my favourite characters of the entire franchise!

Story-wise, it’s shaping up to be my favourite Final Fantasy,
because I’ve fallen in love with the gang…
there’s just so much dense backstory.

  • stevenm281

At the time of the game yes, they are his friends, but not while they were growing up.

Gladio actually hated Noctis’ guts at the beginning of his episode.

  • I think grown up hope was cool too.
I want that writer to do 16 or Agni if they make it.
