Gladiolus, Ignis and Prompto will each control differently in Final Fantasy XV's DLC

Recently we learned about Final Fantasy XV‘s post-launch DLC, which will allow players to control Noctis’ pals Ignis, Gladiolus and Prompto in their own separate episodes. Speaking with IGN, director Hajime Tabata gave us a few hints on what to expect, with each piece of content built around their respective character.

“For example, with Gladio, we really want to push the action element and have a much higher level of action gameplay for his episode,” Tabata explained to IGN. “Final Fantasy, the way the game is structured, is about the idea of characters and levels, and as you level up your characters, you get stronger. That’s the logic by how you defeat harder enemies, by leveling up to a higher level than them.”

Prompto and Ignis will have their own styles as well. “For Prompto, we’re going to focus on how he uses his gun and that kind of element of the gameplay, and have the systems slightly customized to work with that,” Tabata said. “And for Ignis, it’s going to focus on his tactical abilities and focus on a more tactical kind of gameplay.”

For those concerned about cut content or what have you, Tabata assures this stuff is only in the planning stages at the moment. Full development won’t begin until the final game is out there on November 29.
