Watch 30 minutes of Japanese Final Fantasy XV gameplay

Square Enix has released an updated look at Final Fantasy XV‘s opening hours, featuring both Japanese audio and text. While most of the video focuses on many scenes we saw in the recent Gamescom footage, there’s also a few new ones throughout the 30 minute preview.

You’ll note that some events in the game play out differently than their English counterparts. This is because there is a dialogue wheel that allows for different outcomes depending on what you choose.

Just like last time, this new video features footage from both the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions of the game – with the former running at a dynamic resolution of 900/1080p and the latter at 756/900p. Both versions hit close to their 30 frames-per-second target.

Director Hajime Tabata hopes to improve the game’s graphics up through launch, such as the look of the trees and shrubs at closer distances – which should be better in the final game.
