NieR: Automata will be optimized for PlayStation 4 Pro

NieR: Automata will be the next Square Enix title to be optimized for PlayStation 4 Pro. Speaking in an interview with Game Rant, producer Yosuke Saito notes the team is aiming for 4K graphics while keeping its 60 frames per second framerate found in the standard version of the game.

It’s currently unknown how exactly Platinum Games plans to tackle the new hardware just yet, upscaled to 4K, 1080p improvements or otherwise.

Additionally, Saito says the team may consider bringing the game to Xbox One as well. This decision will depend on how well the PlayStation 4 and PC versions do, however, when they launch next year.

NieR: Automata is due out in Japan on February 23, 2017 for PlayStation 4 with a playable demo targeted toward the end of this year. A Western release has yet to be announced.
