Susan Calloway is working on new music for Final Fantasy XIV By Erren Van Duine on January 29, 2017 at 12:01 AM

Susan Calloway is working on new music for Final Fantasy XIV, conductor Arnie Roth confirmed at a Distant Worlds concert in New Jersey today. The “Answers” and “Dragonsong” vocalist is likely headlining the main theme for Stormblood, which went into recording earlier this week.

We’ll likely hear more on the main theme next month when Final Fantasy XIV heads to Frankfurt, Germany for its final leg of Fan Festivals. There, composer Nobuo Uematsu will take the stage along with sound director Masayoshi Soken to share more on the game’s music. Susan Calloway herself will also be in attendance for a special piano concert on February 18.

Such great news, her work is amazing. I was lucky enough to see her perform Answers in 2014. I hope she continues to bring amazing music to XIV and the series as a whole.

  • what’s with the artsy picture?

I think we’ll definitely get the Stormblood theme revealed at Frankfurt. Nobuo Uematsu and Susan Calloway both there, it makes sense! I love Answers (not so much all the remixes she keeps putting out!) but not a fan of the vocal for Dragonsong. The fan fest can’t come quick enough!
