Dissidia Final Fantasy NT announced for PS4; due out early 2018

Square Enix is officially bringing Dissidia Final Fantasy to PlayStation 4 and it’s releasing sooner than you think.

Newly dubbed as “Dissidia Final Fantasy NT”, the game will include over 20 playable iconic heroes and villains as well as over ten battle arenas, summons and a plethora of equippable weapons and moogles. Not only that, the game also comes bundled with a full-length story mode with Kazushige Nojima as the scenario writer.

Square Enix has also confirmed that Final Fantasy XV’s very own Noctis Lucis Caleum will be making his debut to the game as a playable character and combatant to save the world of Dissidia.

Update — From today’s live broadcast, we learn that the game has a story mode that will revolve around the two gods “Spiritus” and “Materia” that will include cutscenes. While the 3-vs-3 arcade mode will be used as a base, there will be another mode to be revealed later. The arcade version will continue to be updated as the console version isn’t intended to compete, however you will not be able to play with others from different versions. If you’re going to E3 — you’re in luck — the game will be playable at Square Enix’s booth from June 13th to June 15th.

Along the ride of the long awaited reveal is a short trailer featuring story-driven cutscenes and gameplay footage of the competitive action RPG running on PlayStation 4.
