Final Fantasy XIV celebrates fourth anniversary with special events

This week Final Fantasy XIV marks its fourth year of service, pulling out all the stops once again with a special 14-hour livestream set for September 1.

During the broadcast, fans can expect the 38th Letter from the Producer LIVE along with talk sessions and special guests. Joining the team this year, Yasumi Matsuno will share a first look at the game’s Patch 4.1 content including “Return to Ivalice” – the Matsuno-penned 24-man alliance raid.

“This past year has been full of memorable moments,” said producer/director Naoki Yoshida. “From Fan Festivals in Las Vegas, Tokyo, and Frankfurt, right through to the launch of Stormblood, we have been honored by the continued support of our players and are overjoyed to share this occasion with them. I wanted to thank our entire community, which has now reached 10 million Warriors of Light, for supporting us this far — here’s to even more exciting things to come!”

Additionally, Koji Fox from the localization team will be on hand to host a special panel at PAX West on September 2 from 1:00 PT. The panel will be livestreamed through the official PAX Twitch channel.
