ESRB rates Final Fantasy XV Royal Edition for PS4 and Xbox One By Wassim Deen on January 8, 2018 at 8:30 PM

The Entertainment Software Rating Board has rated ‘Final Fantasy XV Royal Edition‘ for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

While the rating description doesn’t provide the specifics for the upcoming title, it’s likely the Royal Edition will act as a complete package containing the base game, all software updates and all paid downloadable content released up until this point in time.

View the description down below:

This is an action role-playing game (RPG) in which players control a prince and his friends as they attempt to save their kingdom from evil forces. From a third-person perspective, players move around battlefields and city environments, perform various quests, and battle an assortment of human and fantastical enemies (e.g., demons, titans). Characters use swords, guns (e.g., pistols, machine guns, rocket launchers, sniper rifles), and magic attacks (e.g., exploding fireballs, blasts of ice) to defeat soldiers, monsters, and oversized animals in frenetic combat. Fights are highlighted by cries of pain, dramatic light effects, explosions, and realistic gunfire. A handful of cutscenes depict characters impaled on swords; one cutscene involves a woman being stabbed off-screen; another scene depicts a character with a bloodstained wound. During the course of the game, some female characters are depicted topless, with breasts that lack discernible details (i.e., no nipples). The word “sh*t” appears in the dialogue.

Final Fantasy XV is now available for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, with its PC version slated to release in early 2018.

    lmfao! “FFXV: Money Edition” nty

  • Vallen

    FFXV: The Almost Complete Edition

  • Dod

    Tabata : Please be excited.

  • Jesiah Grant

Unless this is the edition with next years content I aint double dipping. I’m waiting for THAT version. As that will be the version I waited so long to play, not this early access base game we have now.

  • Randy Marsh

If it’s just the standard game of the year edition packages with all the current DLC, I may just hold off and wait for the Final Fantasy XV More Royal Edition in 2019. I don’t know what else to say currently.

  • stevenm281

Whats the point of this if development will still continue through 2018?

  • Justice V

Yeah little premature since future DLC has already been announced. Unless it comes with a future season pass as well or something.

  • Codes McGodes

Final Fantasy XV: Royale with Cheese edition.

  • Mehmed

Even then it doesn’t make any sense. What are they going to do?
Let us Download 3-4 Big DLC and 12 Patches?
Aren’t they gonna redo some things after about 25 Patches, 4 big DLC, 2 little DLC and another 3-4 big DLC? I do not understand them at all.
They just have to release their 3-4 DLC + about 12 Patches and then redo everything into a seemlessly coherent complete game.
Or else this will just be a big big mess.

  • x5kevleo

Final Fantasy XV Give us Money Goddamn it Edition

  • Third World Tristan

    Like it always was?

  • Third World Tristan

They need money. They will release another version later to get money again. Royally Royal Edition.

  • Mehmed

Well this would be going from a big mess to a very big mess. A huge one.

  • Third World Tristan

That’s because people allowed them to get away with the previous mess. That’s why I keep saying to stop supporting such companies, no matter if you’re a fan or not. It’s for the better in the long run. Don’t teach them to be bastards.

    Final Fantasy XV: 2017 Edition

  • •december

While possible, that sounds way too silly

  • •december

    lol who knows.
a good Edition to release, one year later, would be one with more filling (exploration and Quests) between chapters 10-15!

  • •december

Is this likely to change, like the name
…even after the rating is finalized?
    Like has this happened before

  • stevenm281

I believe it was the version to release after Episode Ignis when the plan was to stop development after that episode.

Now that the plan has changed, this version will probably release later.

Unless they plan to remove from shelves all the FF15 already available and replace them with this new version?

patience my friend, and we will know.

  • •december

nevermind its a confirmed new release!
its not quite FFXV-2 but its got so much more to the base game

  • •december

Yeah its a confirmed separate release.
I want a discount for FFXV, as most of us will agree, FFXV Royal is FFXV but with essentially that of which we asked for
