Nexon job listing shares a peek at Final Fantasy XI’s mobile version By Tony Garsow on May 13, 2018 at 8:53 PM

Back in 2015, Square Enix held a special event for Final Fantasy XI to announce future plans for the title. Alongside the final expansion called Rhapsodies of Vana’diel, it was revealed that Nexon was teaming up with the company to produce an updated, mobile version of the game for a worldwide audience.

In the three years that haven elapsed we haven’t seen much, but new screenshots have surfaced from development via a job listing for a character modeler on Nexon’s careers page. The position requires experience with 3DSMax and Zbrush.

    About time!

Wait, this looks so much more than mobile, id play this if I didn’t have to stare at my small phone screen for hours. That takes so much detail away from what seems to be a very beautiful remaster of the game.

Can anyone explain what 3DSMax is? Since for me it sounds like an abvious hint that the game will come to the 3DS too, but I never heard about 3DSMax so I know i shouldnt be exited too soon.

You can Google it, it’s well known software. It’s used for 3D modeling.

so how are we supposed to login to final fantasy xi? i could never figure it out. after all these years i cant get 11 and 14 to work. its maddening because they want me to make a square enix account then merge it with play online. now the square enix account is now a playonline account. so once iv done that i login with my newly merged play online account. and then they ask me to login with a square enxi account….but thats the one i merged with the play online!? so now i only have a play online account. so why in the world would they have me merge something with anoher thing just to ask me for the seperate thing i just merged?

You are doing something wrong that’s for sure. You merged your Play Online with your Square Enix account not the other way around.
