Fans uncover cut Final Fantasy XIII content in the PC version
Eager fans digging around through the available files found in the recent PC port of Final Fantasy XIII have discovered some of the unfinished content that had been left aside upon the game's original release. The area, known as the Seventh Ark, was possibly intended as post-launch downloadable content. Within the dungeon, the developers had also placed a Nemesis boss, similar to the fal'Cie Anima players encounter near the beginning of the game. The area inside was eventually later reused…

Final Fantasy XIII's PC release is a bit of a mess
Final Fantasy XIII saw its release on PC yesterday and well... it's not pretty. User response has been lukewarm at best, with much controversy aimed at the game's lack of video options - a typical PC staple. The port seems to be based off a mix of the 360 version, according to fans who spent time digging around in the game's source files. While it does run at a variable 60 frames per second - a jump over the console…

Included with the original tweet was this picture, which clearly shows Lightning's model and an outfit from Lightning Returns. While Hayashi specifies that this isn't new game related, he does hint at there being some surprises. A subsequent tweet tells us that it will simply be an article related to the FFXIII series, while the official Lightning…

Tetsuya Nomura sketches Lightning for Final Fantasy’s 25th anniversary
Tetsuya Nomura has sketched Lightning not once, but twice this year. The first one, on display for Dengeki's 20th anniversary, depicts Lightning in her XIII attire. The second one was on display yesterday at the Distant Worlds THE CELEBRATION event in London, which included Isamu Kamikokuryou's Lightning Returns painting. It looks somewhat different than anything she's appeared in before, so is this perhaps a hint toward her look in the new game? Via: Zelu1984_FFM.…

What is Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII?
It’s been less than a year since Final Fantasy XIII-2 launched worldwide, bringing with it higher praise than its predecessor. The praise was deserved, the game improving on many aspects of FFXIII – though its story left many perplexed. It arguably created more questions than it answered, leaving fans in the dark and trying to piece together what happened. DLC was created allegedly to address this, but that too left even more questions once released in May. Perhaps the worst…
