Final Fantasy XV shipment and digital sales top 6 million units

Final Fantasy XV‘s cumulative shipment and digital sales have topped 6 million units worldwide, Square Enix announced today in a press release sent to Nova Crystallis.

The company will be providing fans with additional content and associated products to expand and enhance the game experience starting with free game updates – the first of which are the Holiday Pack (Free Version) and premium Holiday Pack+ DLC up now for download. Those who grab the Holiday Pack (Free Version) or Holiday Pack+ will also gain access to the “Moogle Chocobo Carnival,” a special in-game event that brings a themed festival to the whole city of Altissia, starting on Tuesday, January 24th for a limited time.

Square Enix plans on releasing a number of free updates for the game, including additional story sequences, playable characters and difficulty adjustments through a recent roadmap published online. All of this is coming in addition to multiple pieces of paid character and online multiplayer DLC included in the game’s season pass.
