Brilliant trailer, I can’t wait to hit Baelsar’s Wall, looks like the story chunk with this patch is going to be pretty significant, after most of the Heavensward patches have been a bit thin on story.

    Also, SQUALL GLAMOUR! <3

  • Noctis

    How to get Squall outfit?

  • Ryuke

It’s the latest veteran reward for 1440 days (4 years) subscription.

  • Noctis

Oh…….I hate this. Why don`t they just do an quest to get it lol. Or I would even buy it!

  • D.3ND

Ilberd channeling his inner Domon Kashu.

  • Krijn van Alten

Technically you can buy it, just by paying enough subscription!

  • Krijn van Alten

Looks good, but most of it we already knew. For me the most interesting part was between 6:50-6:55, an airship seems to come out of the water. Does that suggest ancient Allag technology under water?

  • Randy Marsh

The thing coming out of the water is Omega, so yeah safe to assume there’s Allag technology in there.

  • Krijn van Alten

Is it really? If you see the end of 3.4 and if you listen to what is said right in the beginning of the trailer, it does suggest that Omega comes from somewhere else.

  • EnclosureHD

Not excited about this.. Typical Squarenix with typical Patch every 4months… The Exp pack going to be same “bs”… Pure Pay to play Patch. With nothing “new” to the game but recycle stuff.

  • Krijn van Alten

Yes, they do that indeed, and that is not very likely to change. So, the real question is: why did you even bother to open this article and maybe even watching the trailer?

  • Stonespear

I’m enjoying the fact that I stopped playing in 3.1 I’ve recently gone back and there is just so much to do, it’s hard to choose! Another patch on the way shortly? Bring it on please, Yoshi!

Middle one is when Omega comes out of the water.

  • Krijn van Alten

But then what is resting under the Carteneau Plains exactly if not Omega?

  • Randy Marsh

It most likely is still Omega, but it will most likely get taken by the Garleans in 3.5 and will be awakened in 3.55 to fight that primal being formed maybe?

  • But that’s really absurd for casual players.

  • Krijn van Alten

But I personally see myself as a casual player. I am a full time student
and have not much time to play the game. On the other side, I am also a very loyal player: from the start of ARR I never have been unsubscribed.

  • Catoblepas

Glasses dude in thumbnail could be Ignis!

  • Faris Leonhart

That’s exactly why i stopped playing about 2 months ago & playing FFXI now.

  • Faris Leonhart

Because we are curious, no more.

We all love Final Fantasy but FFXIV disappoints me for the same reason EnclosureHD said plus what they did with SMN, 3 ugly little egis since 2.0 + DoT job?! this is not SMN at all.

  • Randy Marsh

Sounds like you’re criticizing the game on what you want it to be and not meeting said expectations. Some games just take different twists on classic series traditions, which is even what FFXI did *cough* NIN, DRK, DRG*cough*. Taking risks and changing roles of jobs, it happens. As a former FFXI player of yore, I truly never got how some FFXI fans have this whiny tendency to complain on how FFXIV isn’t like good as FFXI, I mean I thought the roman numerals would’ve been the biggest red flag of them all.

Although I can personally agree FFXIV has it’s dry moments currently, but then again so did FFXI. It’s just FFXI has about 15 years of more time consuming content behind them and actually required socializing with real friends to make it seem not as monotonous, however it still kind of is.

  • Krijn van Alten

Well, the conclusion then must be that this game is just not your cup of tea, because it’s very unlikely that there will be must change in all of this.

  • EnclosureHD

Me too… I played game 350days.. It’s time to move on.
