New trailer showcases what Final Fantasy XIV is bringing to the World of Monster Hunter and announces release date

During the E3 edition of Letter from the Producer Live last month, Final Fantasy XIV producer/director Naoki Yoshida announced that FFXIV  would be having another special crossover event during the summer, this time with one of Capcom’s beloved titles: Monster Hunter World.

While fans got a look at what would be coming to the world of Final Fantasy XIV, very little was revealed on what Monster Hunter World would be receiving in the collaboration, aside from the appearance of the iconic Final Fantasy beast, Behemoth.

However, Capcom has released a new trailer for Monster Hunter World, revealing what Final Fantasy XIV would be bringing to the action-RPG in full. Not only will players be able to face off against the powerful Behemoth, but they will also get the chance to make their Palico look like a Moogle, spot some Cactuars in the wild and even craft the signature armor set of the Dragoon. The Gae Bolg insect glaive will also be made available, alongside the Dragon Soul Kinsect.

The event was announced to go live for Monster Hunter World on August 2nd, and will be completely free. You can check out the official website for further details.

Monster Hunter World is available now on PlayStation 4 and will be made available on PC Steam on August 9th, 2018. Final Fantasy XIV is available now for PC and PlayStation 4.
